Minister William Joyner

Our Minister William Joyner is a highly esteemed and deeply respected member of the Fellowship Church of the Lord Jesus Christ, where he has faithfully served for more than 30 years. Known for his humility, prayer life, and steadfast devotion, he is recognized as one of the most faithful and humble ministers in the church.

Minister Joyner began his ministry overseeing the Rest Home Ministry, where he faithfully visited nursing homes to teach the Word of God, pray for the sick and elderly, and share encouragement with those in need. His compassion in this work reflected his genuine heart for people. Later, he transitioned into teaching, taking leadership of Bible Study Night, where he continues to lead members into a deeper understanding of God’s Word. During these studies, Pastor Avery Foster, Sr. is often present to answer questions, and together they have nurtured spiritual growth and biblical knowledge within the congregation.

A true prayer warrior, Minister Joyner is frequently called upon by the church to open and close services in prayer. His sincerity and spiritual depth in prayer set the tone for worship and leave a lasting impact on all who gather.

For over 40 years, Minister Joyner has worked in close partnership with Pastor Avery Foster, Sr. More than co-laborers in ministry, they share a brotherhood and deep friendship, with Minister Joyner serving as Pastor Foster’s most trusted helper, confidant, and advisor. His loyalty has also extended to the Foster family as a whole, where he is loved and cherished for his unwavering commitment to supporting them. He has spent much time assisting First Lady Tina Foster, who regards him as a son for his kindness, dedication, and care.

Minister Joyner has also served as the Treasurer of the church since its early days, managing finances with integrity and diligence. He continues to advise the Evangelist Ministry, while also supporting and mentoring the next generation of leadership. He has played a special role in the life and ministry of Associate Pastor Joshua Foster IV, whom he regards as a spiritual son.

Because of his faithfulness, Minister Joyner received a Special Appreciation Certificate in 2025, along with a formal church resolution that has been placed in the church archives for future generations to see. This honor, led by Associate Pastor Joshua Foster IV and Founding Pastor Avery Foster, Sr., serves as a lasting testimony of his extraordinary commitment and legacy within the Fellowship Church of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Outside of his ministry duties, Minister Joyner is a devoted husband to Shelia Joyner and the proud father of three children: Donnie, Lashonda, and Jarvis. His love for his family is evident to all who know him.

Respected by many both inside and outside of the church, Minister William Joyner is beloved for his humility, loyalty, and genuine love for people. His life is a reflection of Christ’s servant leadership, and his unwavering dedication has made him a cornerstone of the Fellowship Church of the Lord Jesus Christ.
